It wasn’t that long ago that I thought it was odd that women “had a thing” for shoes. I figured: one for running/the gym; one pair for dressing up (black); one for winter; a couple sandals for summer. And that was that.

BUT then I started working in an office and all of a sudden… I wanted shoes - and lots of them . Nothing too crazy expensive mind you… I can’t afford Manolo Blahnik’s or anything. But I do enjoy having a few pair to rotate for different outfits.

I guess even at 38 I’m still changing LOL!

Vacation Shmacation…

Ugh… I want to get away. But I also know I need to make the best of my 15 days of vacation time this year. So, I have to give some serious thought to what I’m going to do. AND… the topper is that I need to take at least a week to have surgery .

So, not that I was planning Vegas vacations or anything, but even my mini-vacations would be great if I had more time…

I have to admit I enjoy a tastey cup of coffee every now and then. And yes, I am picky about where I get my cuppa from (though I will go anywhere if I have to LOL). I like a good cup of Tim Horton’s coffee unless I want it STRONG, then I can drink a cup of McDonald’s coffee which is REALLY strong LOL.
The thing is, I know what I prefer but i can’t say I’m into gourmet coffee and machines like a capresso machine. But maybe I just haven’t experienced the difference

Would you advertise on a frisbee?

If you owned your own business would you buy promotional products? They come in all shapes and sizes and kinds of things. Most common I think are coffee mugs and pens. I always liked the idea of magnets though. I know personally, I always keep and use a magnet. And recently I suggested frisbees to a friend who’s business is mostly during the winter months… to bring people to him during the summer . ye

Not for paper files though - I’d get one of those accordian filing things for that LOL! What I need is a flash drive so that I can take some work files - like web sites - with me places to show them to clients etc. Mind you, I think I can accomplish that by just posting their site online as a part of one of my own sites… hmm… I think I just figured something out LOL!

Well, bring out the diet pills because Mommy’s feeling a wee bit portly . Ugh. Tis the season I guess but I hate the feeling when my belly roll hangs over the top of my pants… yuck. I know I need to eat less and when I do eat I need to eat foods that are healthy - not just foods that sound delicious LOL! Too bad all of the foods I really want are not so good for me. Oh well…

Kids’ activities; how much is too much?

When I was young I was in one thing at a time tops. I was a Brownie for a while, played some soccer and baseball and I also took horseback riding lessons. I remember them all fondly - especially the riding lessons. Those english saddles and all the other bits are lovely and I really enjoyed prepping my horse each day.

Nowadays though, kids are in so many activities that parents are often busy every night of the week. It just seems like too much to me. After all, they are just as happy playing in the yard with friends

Today I slept in for the first time in years. Seriously… I never use an alarm because I just always wake up when I need to. Kind of a freaky thing… nevertheless pretty darn handy LOL! Unless of course I sleep in… So there I was today at work, still tired, listening to a talk about how term life insurance has been improved… and all I wanted to do was sleep. And now… tonight… I’m hitting the hay early

My son loves Lego. He will play for a very long time on his own puttering along with the wee little bits of plastic. Every now and then he pops his head out and shows me how the ball lock pins have combined nicely with the whoser whatsit to create an amazing thingamajig . It really is an ingenious toy - which I’d thought of it
