What if your license expired 2 years ago?

This past weekend one of my girlfriends was comparing her old style license with her boyfriend’s new one. When she flipped hers over to look at the backs they both noticed at the same time… “oh my gosh, it expired in 2006!!”

Turns out the license dept sent a reminder but she didn’t get it. And that’s all they do. I’m surprised that they don’t try harder to remind people but they don’t.

I’d have also thought that by now some other organisation might have caught it. Like if she called for auto insurance quotes, would they catch it? I’d hope so but I’m not so sure. Strange…
