Should I get the kids a game-system?

I think many parents wrestle with this and I have to admit, it’s a tough decision. On the one hand, the sound of the words “I’m bored” uttered by either of my children is like the classic “nails down a chalkboard” and makes me shudder and then I find myself starting to growl something my parents would say like – if you want something to do you can help me clean the bathroom (works everytime!)

On the other hand, I worry that too much time spent playing something like a playstation 3 will take away from time they would have spent outside running around or riding their bikes. Dilemmas, dilemmas!
