Of course I got a job to make money and contribute to the family’s bottom line – like most everyone out there, I work for the money (and I like what I do).
What’s surprising though is how much it really does cost to work. Now throw in parking which looks like it will run me about $80/month. Add in the cost to have a sitter pick up Matt and Jenn after school and keep them for an hour or less – this will run about $200-$280/month for both kids. That’s a big chuck of money off my income.
The kicker has been that, having been a stay at home mom for so long, I had no office clothes so I had to buy at least a week’s worth of clothes too! Nothing too fancy but not too casual either like volcom clothing. I bought most at Walmart and H&M… but I also treated myself to 2 skirts and some winter crop pants from MEXX – I love that store
