Do You Have Great Potty Training Stories To Tell?

I think it’s like childbirth. Those of us who have gone through it can tell some great and/or scary stories . Though both of my kids potty trained pretty easily and quickly (compared to stories I’ve heard from friends about their kids), I still had my share of “oh no!” times while potty training my kids.

I remember feeling so accomplished as a mom - like it had anything much to do with my skill (rolling my eyes) - when my first child was potty trained. It was early for a boy they all said and I was really happy about it. Then, there we were on New Year’s Eve at friends’ house, and little Matt decided (after no accidents for MONTHS) to pee while standing at a train table playing - nice. The shock on my face must have been pretty funny. Needless to say I learned my lesson that kids decide when they are trained no matter what we do .
