Back in early October we put together a surprise 40th birthday party for a good friend. I did my best to make sure that every important person in his life got birthday invitations BUT I missed some people. Sadly I feel like a dork now. Not that I’m beating myself up about it but really, I don’t know how I could have missed them.
You see, our friend that the party was for, he has a cottage and his neighbors are fantastic people. I’d even go so far as to say that they have become like family to him… and yes, I forgot to phone them about the party. It was a bit of “someone else will tell them” and now I feel like poop.
I’ll have to tell them that they’ll get VIP invitations to the next birthday party LOL! Oh well, these things can’t ever go off without a hitch right??
