Collecting is big business. Though I guess I’ve said it backwards… the big business is in SELLING things that others collect

I can’t say I’m a big collector of anything except coins. They’re small and I’m convinced that they will appreciate in value as the years go by – so I keep them around 
. Otherwise it just strikes me as a way to acquire nic-nacks which just collect dust. Hmm… I may just be feeling a little bah-humbug today .
I do like Hello Kitty and I do find myself picking up HK stuff but only if it has a use. I don’t just grab it to keep it and admire it LOL. I have my Hello Kitty pencil case and my Hello Kitty lip balm… you get the idea .
Am I missing something with the whole “collecting things” idea?? Feel free to add your two cents.
