I’m still pondering this idea of hosting my websites myself. The thing is, turns out a server is really expensive – go figure LOL 
Add to that the fact that hosting is pretty inexpensive, and includes lots of other perks like the all-important “support” for all of my silly questions and, well, I think I’m going to stick with having someone else host them.
I found Free Rider Web Hosting as an option. They’re only $6.95 per month which is a darn good deal. I can also buy domains from them, which is nice because it spares me the step of buying a domain from one company, and then redirecting it to them
Anyway, I already have two companies that I use, but I never like to keep all my eggs in one basket – nor should you (shaking my finger at you ). If one host “goes down” for a hour or a day, then not ALL of my sites will be down
