I suppose it’s not unusual for Dear Hubby to talk me into stuff (ie a bottle of wine and a funny movie 
) but this time I really doubted it. He realllllllly likes going to the cottage and I do too – the kids, well they LOVE it to the point that when we get home from it, all they ask is when we are going back 
Nevertheless, no matter how much everyone enjoys it, I really had no desire to go there the weekend before school started. Seriously. My preference was to stay home and enjoy a fun but early-to-bed weekend that would allow me to be totally prepped for Tuesday. My preference though…. well it was totally outvoted LOL!
So, off we went. Me being all prepped with back to school outfits ready and backpacks and supplies ready… I even went shopping on Sunday at the cottage to get their lunch stuff for Tuesday (the grocery stores are closed Monday for the holiday). I felt okay about it all but not thrilled that the kids would be tired – and they were and still are frankly, or at least Jenn is – but I guess that’s the price we pay for being such fun parents LOL!!
Needless to say, I’m VERY happy to be home though and back from my vacation (aka vay-kay ) so I can get back into the swing of things again! Woo hoo!
